According to Bryan, they crossed paths several years before they started dating. By Gabby's recollection, they were first introduced by mutual friends only about a year before they began spending time together. Either way, each of them made quite an impression on the other! Gabby and Bryan would bump into each other here and there, but they then saw each other much more often after Bryan moved into the same complex where Gabby lived with her best friend Erin (the MOH!). Gabby would ask Bryan to go on dog walks with her and Erin's dog and a friendship soon blossomed. After bonding over how much they love breakfast food, Gabby and Bryan agreed to grab brunch at Teresa's Cafe in Princeton, NJ for their first date. Gabby and Bryan continued to go on many more walks and food dates, and discovered how they both shared a love for hiking, traveling, the beach, documentaries, and The Office. It wasn't too long after that when they decided to make it official!

What started out as a typical Sunday hike, turned out to be an unforgettable day for Bryan and Gabby. Bryan asked Gabby to go on a hike at the Sourland Mountains on a beautiful, crisp fall afternoon. After about a mile into the hike, Bryan suggested they stop and take a photo together on the trail. Gabby looked around to find a good angle to take the photo and when she turned back, Bryan was on his knee asking her to marry him. Gabby was so surprised and had no idea Bryan was planning a proposal. While they had discussed getting married, this was so unexpected in the best way possible! Bryan pulled a ring out of his backpack and Gabby said yes! Bryan took great care to design this ring around the diamond from Gabby's Nanna's engagement ring. It was a truly special moment when Bryan placed the ring on Gabby's finger for the first time. When Bryan and Gabby found their way down the mountain, they were greeted by a group of their close friends with cake and balloons. They spent the rest of the day sharing the news and celebrating with their loved ones. Bryan planned the most magical engagement!
