Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Gabrielle Thompson and William Gonia
If you’re turning the wedding into a long weekend, Bend is a wonderful place to explore. Here are a few of our favorite ways to enjoy the area in June:
The Sparrow Bakery Northwest

The Sparrow Bakery Northwest

2748 Northwest Crossing Drive, Bend, OR 97701

This is one of our favorite bakeries in Bend--introduced to us by one of Willie's groomsmen, Travis, and his wife Amanda. We HIGHLY recommend trying the Ocean Roll. Just Do It. This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee and pastries.

Visit Local Breweries & Taprooms

Bend is known for its craft beer scene. Wander between favorites like Crux Fermentation Project, Van Henion Brewing Co., and Terranaut Beer, just to name a few of our favorites.

Float the Deschutes River

Float the Deschutes River

A Bend classic. Rent a tube or paddleboard and float through the Old Mill District for a fun, laid-back way to soak up the sunshine. June is a perfect time—warm days with refreshing water.

Hiking at Smith Rock

Hiking at Smith Rock

Just a short drive from Bend, Smith Rock State Park offers breathtaking views, dramatic rock formations, and trails for all skill levels. Even a short walk delivers incredible scenery. Lots of trails for different skill levels. After a hike, check out Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond for a cold beer and the best fish and chips from the Wild Catch food truck.

K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts

K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts

20795 Northeast High Desert Lane, Bend, OR 97701

This is a Thompson family favorite! If you're feeling the need for speed, head to K-1 for a few laps around their indoor go cart track. Afterward, head to Crux Fermentation Project for a beer and some snacks.
