A Snippet of Our Story

Andrew and I first met in the early 2000s on AIM, back when late-night messages and shared playlists meant everything. What started as simple small talk for two tweens quickly turned into something more as we bonded over our love of music and The Goonies. We spent countless hours talking and getting to know each other. Not long after, we met in person at Moore War, and over the next few years, we’d run into each other at parties and casual hangouts. Life eventually pulled us in completely different directions, and for a while, our paths didn’t cross. Then, in 2019, we reconnected and decided to spend some time together and it felt like no time had passed at all. That night, we stayed up until 5 a.m. talking about physics, family etc. From that moment on, we knew something was different. We began spending every free moment together. Not long after we reconnected, I told Andrew I loved him… and guess who didn’t say it back? If you ask him, he’ll tell you that he did say it and that’s technically true but at the time, he also made it very clear that he didn’t mean “love” quite yet. It's kind of a running joke we have, but looking back, I appreciate that he didn't rush into it. I introduced him to my family, who instantly adored him (which, to be fair, was inevitable). Over the past six years, Andrew and I have built something truly special a relationship rooted in love and trust with a strong foundation. We’ve experienced life together in every way: the hard moments, the firsts, the adventures, the travel, and everything in between. Through it all, there has never been a single moment where we didn’t believe in each other. We took our time, focusing on building something lasting. We learned each other deeply, grew together, and created a foundation strong enough to carry us through anything. And now, after all these years, we’re finally getting married.
