January 28th, 2019, in the middle of a polar vortex, neither of us knew that the table we choose to sat on our first day of orientation at Target would lead us to our wedding day. After years of building a friendship (and Keilor finding any excuse to come chat at my desk), we met for a walk on Boom Island where Keilor expressed his feelings and the walk ended with a kiss. From that kiss, I quickly called my friends because I knew I was in trouble.
Our first official date, Keilor had me over and made me a delicious Salmon meal and we proceeded to go to an indoor dog park that serves drinks with Skadi. The night ended with us bopping around dive bars and taking tequila shots.
August 9th, 2022, Keilor got down on one knee on a boat in the middle of Lake St Claire. Once down on one knee, he proceeded to fumble with his words, we both cried, and the ring slipped on my finger. After a minute, Keilor asked "You never said Yes", which I responded "I don't think you ever got out the words "Will you marry me?"". I was caught completely off guard, in a stained sweatshirt and unpainted nails, but the moment was very intimate, very special, and very us.
Since our first kiss, we have filled our lives with constant adventures, creating a home together, and quality time with the ones we love. We can not wait to officially take the next step in our relationship. We would love nothing more than to share the love that we have for each other; and have you there to celebrate our future and the coming together of our families and friends.
