Yes, we met on a dating app. I know it isn't the most traditional way of meeting but it is the best decision we could have ever made. Jacob's POV: I will never forget the exact spot I was when I got that like from her (7-11 in Clemson). I had just downloaded the app for just a couple days not really thinking much of it and suddenly I get a like from a very attractive girl which definitely caught my attention. I don't know what it was about her- whether it was her beautiful smile or just the comforting feeling she gave just looking at her or the faith she had in Jesus (yes she's the whole package). But I had a different feeling almost like God sent her to me at the perfect timing (which would be correct)! So obviously I was eager to message her asap and the rest is history… and that feeling was absolutely right! Gabby's POV: I had sworn off dating apps with the desire to meet someone in a more traditional way. But God laughs at our plans, and our story is so special because it came at the perfect time and was orchestrated by God. I reached a point where I said "what the heck, I'm just going to download this app and see what comes of it" (while still feeling skeptical). Two days into it, I come across this super cute guy who loves Jesus and has this beautiful smile, bright eyes, and dimples that made me swoon. So of course I sent him a like (yes, I made the first move). He quickly responded and the pursuit was on! Shortly into our conversations, I could tell that he was genuine and a rare find. We swiftly went from messaging in the app to texting. 10 days after matching, we went on our first date. And 8 days later we made our relationship official. Some say it happened quick, but we say it was all in the right timing. I couldn't be more thankful for following the prompting to download it because now I get to marry my best friend and love of my life!
