We met at Barbra Bush Middle School in 2007. We shared the same friends, a few classes and the same sense of humor. We easily became best friends. The morning of October 5th, 2009 we met up in the court yard of Ronald Reagan High School after the school bus dropped us off. Dominic handed me a folded up piece of paper, inside was a hand drawn picture of him and I holding hands. At the bottom of the paper he asked me to be his girlfriend! At the age of 15 we happily held hands and walked to class. Every single day for four years Dom met me outside of my classroom and walked me to my next class. Every. Single, Day. He attended my golf tournaments, I went to his football games and wrestling matches, I wore his football number proudly on my check and he carried my back pack when I broke my arm. We went to every school dance together, we exchanged love letters and spent every weekend together with friends having the time of our lives! Dom had a classic Ford 1968 Mustang that we would love to drive around and listen to music in. Upon graduation I went to Texas Tech and Dom went to Texas A&M. We lived 8 hours apart and tried to see each other once a month. Long distance was a challenge but we were determined to make it work. Between impromptu trips, hours long phone calls and care packages our friendship and relationship only grew. Dom and I can honestly say that we not only wanted to, but planned to get married and spend every minute we could with each other for the rest of our lives together since we were 16 years old. On the night of December 19, 2016 after attending a Spurs game honoring Tim Duncan's retirement and having the best date ever, in the freezing cold in front of the Alamo and the big lit Christmas tree, with all of my favorite people hiding in the bushes, Dominic got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Fast forward and we are now living our best lives together in Austin, Texas with our two cats! We are too excited for this next chapter to begin!
