Old Fisherman’s Wharf is a must whenever we’re in Monterey, we always make time for a stroll down the pier. If you’re craving a fresh bowl of clam chowder, this is the place to go. There are plenty of spots to choose from, plus beautiful views of the bay while you walk.
Carmel-by-the-Sea is one of our favorite spots to visit. We always stop by Alvarado Street Brewery for a casual lunch, and the outdoor shopping area nearby is great for a walk after. Exploring Carmel Village and spending time by the beach is always amazing.
Alta Bakery & Café is a great spot. Fun fact—after the first time we visited our venue, The Perry House, we stopped by Alta for a treat and chatted about the venue. They have amazing pastries, great coffee, and a nice outdoor seating area.
If you have some extra time, 17-Mile Drive is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. It takes about 1–2 hours with stops and offers incredible ocean views, rocky cliffs, and landmarks like the Lone Cypress and Pebble Beach. It’s a peaceful, scenic route that really shows off the natural beauty of the Monterey Peninsula.
Cannery Row is a great place to visit while you’re in Monterey. There are lots of shops and places to eat, plus beautiful views of the water.
If you know us, you know we love Dust Bowl — you’ve probably seen us there or even partied with us! The Dust Bowl location in Monterey is a great vibe with nice outdoor seating and a food truck.
