While the current pandemic may have changed our original wedding plans, we are incredibly grateful that this situation has offered us the opportunity to live stream the wedding mass and include our friends and family that wouldn't have been able to be present regardless of the current circumstances. Three years after meeting on a soccer field, Cristian and Gabriella crossed paths at an airport in Medellin, Colombia. Two Christmas novena celebrations later, they knew they had something special. After much prayer and careful discernment, it became clear that God had brought them together. This was so clear, that Cristian knew 6 months into their relationship that Gabriella was meant to be his wife. In July of 2019 Cristian, Gabriella, her sister Emelia, and their cousin Henry took a trip to Spain to walk the last 115 km of El Camino de Santiago. The pilgrimage is known to be a place of self-discovery as well as spiritual and physical challenges. Those four days of walking confirmed to Cristian that Gabriella is the person he wants to face both the celebrations as well as the challenges of life. Once they arrived to Santiago de Compostela, in a small chapel kneeled in front of the blessed tabernacle, Cristian asked Gabriella, "Te quieres casar conmigo?" and she said "Yes!" And now they invite all of their cherished friends and family to celebrate the sacrament of their holy matrimony at the St. James Cathedral in downtown Orlando!
