We met on Her, which is a lesbian dating app. Genny was a sophmore at Fredonia, Deb a Senior at Performing Arts. We messaged on the app for a few days, Genny called Deb her "trapper keeper," things were cute. Genny then suggested we meet up. Deb said yes. They went to Friendly's on Maple Road. Deb was beyond nervous and Genny fell asleep during the movie. It was cute. They started to date. They fought, they laughed, they cried, they loved. Genny and Debbie fell in love. A year and a half and some passed, Deb proposed. Genny said YES! YES! YES! To be continued...
On October 14, Deb and I decided it was the day. At 5pm after my classes we headed to Buffalo with two of our friends, Cristian and Paloma. We ate dinner at Chefs. We had some delicious food! After Chefs, I was blindfolded. Deb took me to where we had our first date, a then closed Friendlys. We stood outside and took a few pictures. It was so sweet. We hopped back in the car and blindfolded me again. Deb took me to where we had our second date and we held hands for the first time, the Albright Knox. Deb read me a poem and blindfolded me again. Off to the last destination, Canalside. Deb walked me onto the bridge at Canalside with my blindfolds on still, held my hands and read me a poem she wrote about how much she loves me and wanted to be with me. When took my blindfold off, she was on one knee and asked me to marry her. I said, YES YES YES!!!! and jumped in her arms. The rest is history.
It was a Sunday, the weekend before finals and Debbie was coming form work to pick me up to take me back to school. As she came to my door, I rushed her downstairs to our Christmas tree. I wanted to show Deb how pretty it looked, or so she thought! I showed Deb our ornament form the previous year, then I showed Deb this golden sparkley one. As I took it off the tree to show her it, I began to tell Deb how much I love her and will be there for her through the tough times. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She cried so hard and said yes!
