From the chefs of iconic Austin staples, Franklin's and Uchi, this BBQ Asian Fusion restaurant has no shortage of incredible food. Recommended for big groups but also great for smaller parties! No reservations required
Another great spot for big groups with an abundance of casual picnic tables and amazing food. Venture next door to Holdout Brewing for some beers afterwards
This tasty downtown restaurant is a super quick walk from the LINE Hotel room block and only a 5 min drive to the Welcome Party! Elephant Room jazz bar is also located just downstairs
If you're looking for the best pizza in Austin, All Day has you covered! We recommend the East 6th location, which is in the backyard of Daydreamer bar and a quick walk to the Welcome Party!
Our favorite steakhouse and special occasion restaurant!
Another adorable oyster bar from the same owners as Pearla's! This restaurant is located in the Clarksville neighborhood near downtown
Our absolute favorite Tex Mex restaurant in all of Austin! We aren't alone in this so we recommend going for an early meal or being prepared to wait a while for a table at the bar with some margaritas. The fajitas here are a must!
This Tex Mex restaurant on the east side is one of Patrick's favorite hang out spots for margs and tacos. They don't take reservations here either, so we recommend going early to minimize your wait time
Another delicious Tex Mex restaurant located on lively South Congress. Head next door to Guero's Garden before or after your meal to hear live music!
This New York style tavern has great cocktails & food! Another plus - it's a 3 min drive to the Welcome Party
This downtown restaurant is known for its Texas BBQ and fun ambiance. It's less than a 10 min walk from the room block and there's often live music upstairs!
This is widely believed to be the best BBQ in Austin but it is an all-day experience to wait in line for it (literally!)
Patrick's favorite BBQ in Austin (he's never waited in line all day at Franklin's) and an amazing alternative if you are tighter on time!
Located in the room block at the LINE Hotel, Veracruz has some of the best tacos in town!
This is the more upscale restaurant option in the LINE Hotel - Great for dinner or brunch!
P6 is the LINE Hotel's rooftop bar & lounge with an excellent view of Lady Bird Lake and the Congress Avenue bridge. Head here for cocktails and light bites! Pro tip: Go right before sunset to view Austin’s famous bats emerging from the bridge
For those ready to keep the party going after the Welcome Party, we recommend walking 30 seconds to the bars of East 6th! Whisler’s, Lucky Duck, In Cahoots, The White Horse, and Lolo wine bar are a few of our favorites! We also recommend Kitty Cohen’s & Central Machine Works, which are a little deeper east and just a quick Uber away from these other spots
Hands down our favorite downtown bar is Powder Room - the cocktails & vibes are unmatched! It’s also a speakeasy, nestled inside Manny’s sandwich shop. We also love Roosevelt Room for its very extensive & intricate cocktail menu that never disappoints! If you’re staying at the LINE Hotel, Ellis next door has an amazing happy hour deal. And lastly, we definitely recommend checking out Garage Bar if you’re staying downtown. It’s also a speakeasy with amazing cocktails!
A few other popular Austin speakeasies include Eden Cocktail Room, Here Nor There, Small Victory, Firehouse Lounge, The Treasury, Milonga Room, Kinfolk Lounge & Library, and Red Headed Stepchild (also known as Floppy Disk Repair Company)
Adjacent to downtown in the Clarksville neighborhood are some of our favorite bars! Hit up Donn's Depot and Howard’s for a lively, fun night out. Rosie’s Wine Bar next door is a more low key option with excellent wine and an even better ambiance!
Check out Continental Club, Dainty Dilo, Rustic Tap, The Broken Spoke, Central Machine Works, Guero’s Garden, and Idle Hands to enjoy live music!
If you haven't been to Austin before, South Congress is a must see! There are various restaurants and shops, including well-known cowboy boot & hat stores. This is a 5 minute Uber from downtown and an easy walk as well

Each night at dusk, watch 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats emerge from beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge. For a great view, stake out a spot on the grassy hill at the Statesman Bat Observation Center next to the bridge or post up at the LINE Hotel's P6 rooftop bar
Look no further than Mount Bonnell and the 360 Overlook Bridge for the most gorgeous views of Lake Austin! Both are super quick uphill walks (<5 min) to the top and approachable for all ages. If you're looking for a longer "hike" check out Austin's trails on the Greenbelt
Barton Springs is a natural, spring-fed pool and one of Austin's most popular attractions! It's also part of Zilker Park, which is a fun hang out spot for all ages. Depending on the time of year & day, lines can be really long but they move pretty quickly. We definitely recommend checking this out if you have time
Deep Eddy is another great natural spring pool in Austin! This is more of a local spot, which often means little to no wait time to get in. If you end up at Deep Eddy, stop by Pool Burger for lunch and grab some drinks at Deep Eddy Cabaret afterwards
