Bernheim Forest and Arboretum

Daniel and I have grown up going to this park. It has giant wooden giants that are art installations, along with a bunch of other installations! Some of our earliest dating memories are coming here with both of our families.

Big Four Bridge

This was an old train bridge that is now a permanent walking bridge across the Ohio river!

Churchill Downs

Tour the home of the fastest two minutes in sports - the Kentucky Derby!

Louisville Mega Cavern

Zipline or do a ropes course through a cave that was once a former limestone quarry! Daniel and I ziplined here as a birthday gift one year.

Muhammad Ali Center

Mammoth Cave National Park

Mammoth Cave National Park, located in central Kentucky, features the world's longest known cave system, with over 400 miles of surveyed passageways. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and International Dark Sky Park, offering tours of massive chambers, gypsum formations, and hiking, with a consistent 54-degree temperature. It's about a 1.5 hour drive from Louisville.

Bardstown Road

This is where you'll find the best bars, great restaurants (shoutout Kiwami ramen) and cool local shops!

Nulu - East Market District

A newly up and coming part of town, this is also where you'll find some of the best bars and restaurants in Lousiville! We recommend West Sixth brewery.

Whiskey Row

Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky, is a historic block on West Main Street (100-block) that served as the hub of the bourbon industry from the 1850s through Prohibition. Sharon's favorite is Michter's!

Angel's Envy Distillery

Buffalo Trace Distillery

This isn't the closest to Louisville but it is one of the best!

Huber's Orchard and Winery

Huber's is around an hour outside Louisville! They make some of our favorite wine and distill great bourbon. You can also pick apples, pumpkins, and get Christmas trees!
