Mammoth Cave National Park, located in central Kentucky, features the world's longest known cave system, with over 400 miles of surveyed passageways. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and International Dark Sky Park, offering tours of massive chambers, gypsum formations, and hiking, with a consistent 54-degree temperature. It's about a 1.5 hour drive from Louisville.

Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky, is a historic block on West Main Street (100-block) that served as the hub of the bourbon industry from the 1850s through Prohibition. Sharon's favorite is Michter's!
This isn't the closest to Louisville but it is one of the best!
Huber's is around an hour outside Louisville! They make some of our favorite wine and distill great bourbon. You can also pick apples, pumpkins, and get Christmas trees!
