FIRST MEET Kaitlyn and Cory technically first met in 2014 at their church's teen prom. Kaitlyn was a senior in high school and was introduced to Cory (her friend's prom date). Kaitlyn remembers this but Cory does not lol. (In his defense, Cory was introduced to a whole lot of people that night.) FIRST DATE Fast forward to fall of 2016, their mutual friend set them up on a double date. They had a cute date at a pumpkin patch and from there, developed a friendship. Months later, Cory moved to serve the ministry in Tallinn, Estonia where he lived for 4 years! They kept in touch here and there. RECONNECT In 2019, Cory visited CA for the summer and asked if Kaitlyn wanted to catch up. They met up at his favorite coffee shop and walked around the city. Cory loved their time together and asked if they could stay in touch. PURSUIT After Cory flew back to Estonia, he reached out to Kaitlyn's friends to get input on pursuing her. Their friendship grew fast through FaceTimes; they even had a virtual date. In December when Cory visited CA again, he asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend at Balboa Island during sunset. PROPOSAL A year and half later (6 months of long-distance dating and 1 year in CA together), Cory popped the big question on a rooftop in LA to ask Kaitlyn to spend the rest of their lives together.
