It all started in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, when everything felt a little uncertain, but we both found something unexpectedly special. We met on Hinge, and after chatting online for a couple of weeks, we decided it was time to meet in person. So, we arranged a picnic in Prospect Park—something simple, but perfect. From the moment we met, it felt like we had known each other longer than just a few weeks of messages. We spent the entire day together, talking, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. The hours flew by so quickly that as the evening drew near, we didn’t want it to end. Our smiles, laughs and chats continued on as the night welcomed itself. And, despite the occasional bite from garden ants scurrying around in the grass, we continued to stay in each other’s presence for just a little longer. In the months that followed, we spent more time discovering the things that connected us: our faith in God being the solid foundation of our being - the thing that shaped our values and vision for the future. Not to mention, our love for the arts, our deep appreciation for culture, and the importance we place on family. It wasn’t long before our friends embraced each other too, creating a beautiful community of support and love around us. We realized that not only had we found each other, but we had also found an extended network that supported our journey together. And from those moments on the picnic blanket to the days leading up to our forever, our relationship has sustained a texture of deep connection, shared passions, and a lot of love. We can't wait for you to join us in the celebration of our forever 🖤💕
