Cory knew who Ashley was well before she knew him. As you all know Ashley's late father, Mac is prominent in the First Responder world. It was when Ashley was accepting a scholarship in her late father's name that Cory took one look at her and said to the guy beside him, hey who is that girl? The guy beside him was quick to say "shes out of your league". Who knew a few years later Ashley would be hanging out with some mutual firemen friends when the couple was finally introduced. Ashley wasnt convienced just yet but Cory knew she was worth it and she gave him a chance. Oh, boy was Ashley glad she did, the love they share for one another runs so deep and starts with Christ at the center. They have so much to connect on they are excited to make a lifetime together. When people ask them how they met, they simply say "a bunch of firemen" and let the rest be history!

Cory put in so much thought and effort here, as surprising Ashley is a VERY difficult task! Cory swept Ashley off her feet, to say the least with this big day. First, the couple went to lunch in Downtown Fredericksburg and followed with coffee to take to the city docks just as they did on their first date. Recreating memories and not missing a single detail Cory had put in so much effort on this day and it showed. For their last stop, they went to a local winery for a tasting after which Cory purchased a bottle of wine, and the couple took a nice walk around a koi pond. Cory asked Ashley to take the wine out of the bag and it was then he had replaced the label with one asking Ashley to be his wife, and Cory proceeded to get on one knee and the rest brings us all to this day!
