Santa Barbara Airport

Flying in directly to Santa Barbara can be limited depending on what company you choose to fly with. However, Santa Barbara Airport is a lot closer to the wedding! Alaskan, American, South West and United all fly into this airport from certain states. This airport is located in Goleta just 10 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. This might be ideal for family flying in from the east coast and getting on connecting flights.

Los Angeles Airport (LAX)

LAX is located about 90 miles southeast of Santa Barbara. Serving 69 international destinations and 87 domestic destinations, the airport offers flights on virtually every major carrier. LAX is about a 2 hour drive from Santa Barbara. If you plan on flying in and out of this airport I would strongly suggest planning extra travel days or extra time to insure you make it to your flights accordingly. Los Angeles and Santa Barbara almost always have traffic, its one of the few downsides to living out here.

Hollywood Burbank Airport

Hollywood Burbank Airport is located about 85 miles southeast of Santa Barbara and serves 12 domestic destinations on seven major carriers. A closer option than LAX, Burbank airport is a tiny bit bigger than Santa Barbara with a few more options. Driving to and from would be about a 1hour 45 min ride. We live about 4 minutes from this airport so our home is available if you need a place to stay for travel reasons.

AMTRAK

For guest coming up from Los Angeles, Costa Mesa or San Diego: Amtrak Pacific Surfliner travels along a 351-mile route through San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. The AMTRAK route hugs the Southern California coastline. It's affordable and the best way to bypass traffic. If you fly into Burbank Airport, the AMTRAK Train station is just steps away from the airport entrance. From Burbank its just a 2 hour train ride to Santa Barbara. Tickets are easy to purchase and you get dropped off right in the heart of SB!
