What is the Art Factory?

Answer

As soon as we walked into the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ, we knew it was our wedding venue. It's industrial, rustic, vintage, and so much more. The Art Factory is full of history. It was constructed circa 1840 for the American Hemp Company which produced ropes. In 1851, the American Hemp Company was reorganized as the Dolphin Jute Mill to produce twisted jute carpeting. The jute mill operated into the late 1950s. After that, the complex was used mostly for storage. It became the Art Factory sometime after 1978. Today, it is also used for music, TV, and film shoots by a number of artists and companies including Disney, ESPN and HBO.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both taking place at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ. The Hampton Inn & Suites is only about a 10 minute drive away. Shuttles will be provided to the venue and will bring guests back to the hotel both before & after the after-party. Shuttle departure times will be provided at a later date.   For those who choose to drive to the Art Factory, there is a parking lot located at 14 Market Street which is two blocks from our venue. Trolleys will be transporting guests to and from the parking lot and venue prior to the ceremony and after the reception.

What other wedding events should I be aware of?

Answer

There will be a welcome party for out of town guests (and of course anyone locally that wants to come) on Thursday night as well as a breakfast the morning after the wedding. More details to come on this!

Is there a dress code?

The fancier, the better! It’s NYE so feel free to be as dressy (or as sparkly) as you’d like :)
