Our story began in 2019. We went to the same high school and church, shared the same spaces, mutual friends, and even served on lead team together, yet somehow, we never really talked. We were always around each other, just a little too shy to say anything. That changed when we started talking on social media. What began as a few pictures back and forth turned into a few conversations which quickly turned into something more. Before long, we were talking all day, every day, sharing everything and getting to know each other in a way we never had in person. Eventually, Maddie decided to make the first move, and Max felt the same way. Not long after, we finally spent time together in person, and it was an immediate connection. We began hanging out all the time, doing everything together, like we were made for each other. On February 23, 2020, we made things official. Over the past six years, we’ve grown up side by side, walking through every season of life together. We’ve experienced the highest of highs and have also walked through the lowest of lows, and through it all, we’ve continued to choose each other every single day. Time and time again, we’ve seen that God created us specifically for one another. And now, here we are, still each other’s best friend and still choosing each other every single day. The love we share is something we know didn’t just happen by chance, it’s something the Lord has been writing from the very beginning. Through every season, we’ve learned what it means to serve one another in love and to keep Him at the center of it all. What we have is steady, intentional, and rooted in something so much bigger than us. The true definition of marrying your best friend.
