FAQs

Question

When are the RSVPs due?

Answer

We'd love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!) by September 10th.

Question

How do I let you know about my dinner selection?

Answer

Your dinner selection will be due when you RSVP. There is a vegetarian option available, as well as a gluten free option. These options do not have details just yet, as the restaurant will choose based on seasonal availability of fresh ingredients.

Question

What time should we be at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm on October 29th. We kindly ask guests to arrive on time to accommodate seating. Please note that it will be a busy weekend in NOLA, so if you are arriving via Uber/taxi, please leave additional travel time.

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be no transportation provided to the ceremony. However, all recommended hotels are within walking distance of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. If you plan to arrive via Uber/taxi, please leave additional travel time as it is a busy weekend in NOLA. The Cathedral is a five minute walk from Brennan's Restaurant, where we will have our reception.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no parking at either venue. The Montelone and the Omni hotels both have parking garages that would be a great option for anyone driving, but they do get full with guests and then are turned into 'guests only' at times. There are Premium Parking lots along Decatur Street too (about 2-3 blocks from Brennan's).

Question

Will The ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Ceremony is indoors. The reception is mainly indoors, but there will be a courtyard where some of our guests will be seated for dinner, and the dance floor will also be located here. There will be a tent if it rains.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love ALL of your children, however, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your fanciest attire! Our reception is black-tie. October temperatures range from 62° F - 81° F in NOLA, so we suggest bringing a light shawl or coat. The bridesmaids will be wearing emerald green. Bring a pair of comfortable shoes for our second line parade post-reception!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've carefully selected our guest list. If your invitation says “and Guest,” or “...Family” (as in “The Smith Family”), then yes! If not, then we are expecting just you. Thank you for understanding that we have limited space and must make sure that there is ample room for all of our friends and family members to comfortably celebrate with us.

Question

What are the COVID-19 protocols?

Answer

Venues in New Orleans no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This is an ever changing requirement and we will update our website to reflect these updates. If you have individual concerns, please email us at futurelosavios@gmail.com.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

We welcome all questions! Please email us at futurelosavios@gmail.com.
