We met on New Years Eve of all days! New Years resembles reflection on the past and setting intentions for growth in the next chapter, so us meeting by chance on this date was no accident. Introduced by a friend at the turn of the year, Jacob was in town, I was hosting, and there was an immediate spark - something easy and unmistakable. We both were focused on our careers and lives in our respective cities so nothing grew just yet. A year later, we crossed paths again... the day before NYE the following year. The connection was stronger, and even more undeniable, but the timing still hadn’t caught up. Then, just a few months after that, everything aligned. Our friends had a spring break-themed party they invited us both to and Jacob was able to swing coming into town for it. As soon as we caught eyes, there was no resisting it. We were magnets to each other and we knew there was something much deeper there. We decided to take a leap and give it a shot. Long distance only confirmed what we already knew from the start - this was it, plain and simple. The rest, as they say, is history.
