Peter and Zoe met during the first few weeks of their freshman year at the University of Richmond. Peter recalls that his early impression of Zoe was that she was smart and driven, maybe the only freshman on campus who knew what they were doing. Zoe doesn’t remember Peter at all. It would take three years for that to change. During their senior year, the close proximity of their on-campus apartments and similar class schedules ensured that the two began interacting far more than ever before. On shared walks to the business school, Zoe was surprised to learn that Peter was engaging and, even occasionally, funny. Peter found that Zoe was every bit of the over-achiever he remembered from freshman year, but she was also sweet and vivacious. Still, their newfound friendship might have remained only that if not for the discovery of their mutual love for the most romantic of all foods: the breakfast sandwich. When the topic came up on one of their many walks across campus, Peter suggested they head to the local bagel shop. Four hours later, and still sitting in the same store, with their sandwiches long since finished, Peter and Zoe realized that they might be more than just good friends. And the rest is history!
