We're getting married

In January 2016, Kayla started her first day of an undergrad internship at the Masonic Home. She kept hearing about this man who all the women at the home were trying to find a girl for. After countless failed attempts of Ty asking for Kayla’s number, she finally gave in & gave it to him. Throughout their time together they continued to learn more about each other every day. February 15, 2017, Ty asked Kayla to officially be his girlfriend. Little did she know that she had met the man that she had been praying for. Through the years of dating, they learned that they share a love for goats, their dog, the beach, being in the backyard by the fire pit, & cooking together. Like all relationships some days were better than others, but they continued to work together by communicating & putting God first. Even in the unknown God knew their story was just beginning . On July 17, 2021, Ty & Kayla were on a beach weekend trip with friends. They were on their way to get breakfast when they made a stop at the Beaufort waterfront. Of course, Kayla missed all the signs leading up to the moment that would change her life forever. As the entire group stood on the pier looking at the sights of the boats & the isle with the wild horses, Kayla had no idea that they were all waiting for Ty to pop the question. To get things moving, their friends mentioned they were ready to go eat. As soon as Ty began to talk Kayla heard the word “food” & headed to walk off the pier. Everyone had a confused look on their face before they sent Kayla back to Ty on the pier. Still not picking up on the signs Kayla walks over to Ty & he puts his hand on her shoulder. He says “Kayla, I've been wanting to ask you this for some time (as he is getting down on one knee, while Kayla is still ignoring him), I love you Kayla, will you marry me!?” she stood there with her hands on her head & realized what was happening & screamed YES! Cannot wait to watch their story unfold & to see what God has in store for them.
