What should I wear?

Answer

This event is all about the lake and celebrating with you all. I would recommend midi /sundresses with a jacket with comfortable shoes for the ladies. For the fellas I would recommend slacks with a long-sleeve button down. This is not an overly formal event so dress how you like.

Where should I park?

Answer

Lindsey's parents are coordinating with the neighbors for additional parking for the event. There will be parking signs available to show where you can & cannot park. You can park at the Phelps Family house, the house directly to the left (W303N2652 Maple Ave), at the old Kims Bar (W303N2582 Maple Ave, Pewaukee, WI 53072) and more.

Is Uber or Lyft available?

Unfortunately the brilliant ride sharing apps haven't yet made their way to Lake country where Lindsey's parents live. Uber is available in Milwaukee. Please make sure you have a DD to drive you back to your hotel.

How close is Milwaukee?

It is a 30 minute drive from the Phelps lake home to downtown Milwaukee.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! We tried to include parents and kids on your initial invite. If your family has grown since we've last seen you please let us know.

Can I get to the Lake House using public transportation from Chicago?

Answer

You can get part of the way. There is an Amtrak train from Chicago Union Station to Milwaukee that runs multiple times during a day and takes about ~2 hours. Once you arrive in Milwaukee you will need a car or uber to get to the Phelps Family lake house.

How far is the Milwaukee Airport?

Answer

The Phelps family lake house is a 35 minute drive from the Milwaukee Airport (MKE). There is also an Amtrak train station at the Milwaukee airport that goes to Chicago if you're picking up a friend or family member coming up from chicago.

How will you host a large event ensuring people's safety?

Answer

Since this is our first large event since the pandemic, we will closely monitoring the CDC guidelines to ensure everyone feels safe & welcome. We will try to hold most of the event outdoors. As many of us are seeing family for the first time in a while we will also create a station with masks & bracelets to share your level of comfort (red, yellow, green). We highly recommend everyone to take an at-home COVID test on FRIDAY October 8th before the party even if you are vaccinated. If you are un-vaccinated, a negative COVID test is required to join.
