We're Getting Married!

Jess & Alex were on the same intramural broomball team for The Ohio State University Ambassadors (fancy term for “tour guides”). One of our co-workers/teammates was having a birthday party that Jess was attending with her friend, Caroline, when Jess decided to text Alex to ask if he was coming to the party. Alex replied, "On my way!" (only to later find out that Alex was already in his PJs at home watching The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with his roommate, Kyle, but changed out of his sweatpants and baggy OSU sweatshirt to come to the party). We talked constantly throughout the next week and went to an Ambassador ice skating event a few days later. At the end of the night, Alex said he was walking home, so Jess kindly insisted on giving him a ride (smoooooth move). On the way home, Jess had her car speakers playing Zac Brown Band and at this point Alex thought, “Okay, I’m pretty into her.” That next Saturday, Jess was at her little sister, Nicole's, gymnastics meet when Alex asked her to go to dinner. She felt instant butterflies and accepted the invitation. She left the meet early to go home and get ready, nervously freaking out with her roommates. Alex arrived right on time and opened the car door for Jess. We went out to dinner at an upscale Mexican restaurant, La Fogata, and indulged in some ice cream at Jeni's in the Short North. At this point Jess thought, “Okay, I’m pretty into him.” Early on, we both knew we had something special. One morning in 2014 when Jess was on a run with her mom, she even recalls telling her, “I think he’s the one.” Looks like she was right!
