WE'RE GETTING MARRIED...(finally)!!

It was supposed to be guys night... In the prime of Kevin's single career, an evening at Wash Park Grille forever changed his life. Shortly after arriving, Kevin and his friends were up to their usual shenanigans during a live set by the one and only, Phil Long. In between shots of Fireball and singing along to Piano Man, a friend of Kevin's mentioned they wanted him to meet someone and proceeded to pull him to the other side of the bar where he came eye to eye with Kalie Vaughn. After a quick introduction and Kevin fumbling quite a few of his words, they ordered drinks and the rest was history. At the time, neither of them knew they'd found their person....someone they'd spend the rest of their lives with.

**His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy...** Thanks Eminem - nothing could better describe the way Kevin felt on his way home from work on Friday, May 10th, 2019. Unbeknownst to Kalie, Kevin had asked each of the Vaughn family members for their blessing to marry their daughter and sister, found a ring, and hatched a plan. In short, Kevin was a nervous wreck, popped down on a knee, asked the all important question... and Kalie thought it was a prank. When she finally realized what was happening, shock, tears, her answer, and a long embrace ensued. To say she was surprised was an understatement. A second surprise came after their dinner date that night to celebrate the engagement - they were joined by 80 of their closest friends and family members for a surprise party at their house in the same place Kevin proposed only a few hours earlier. This author doesn't remember much from the party (because it was AWESOME), but he knows it will pale in comparison for the celebration to come.
