Rain or shine - dress FINE. The wedding will be all outdoors. We would love for you to look and feel your best on our big day. We ask that you dress up, more than down (no denim). If you have a fabulous gown/suit/dress asking for some love just sitting in your closet - it deserves a night out! Our intent is for you to use what's in your wardrobe and not buy anything new on behalf of us. Whether its a floor length dress or cocktail attire, it will look great with your smile. *Bring a jacket as well - the pier is on the water and who knows what Mother Nature has in store for us.
Yes! We plan to have a secure place for you to store coats or small personal items on the day of the event.
The pier is concrete and there will be dancing on that surface. The walk to the afterparty is about 10 minutes uphill if you choose not to uber. That said, we will provide bins for you to store shoes if you need to do an exchange to save the toes. We also encourage comfortable shoes if you plan to explore the city or newly renovated waterfront.
Gates open @ 1:30PM. If you'd like to be there for Elli & Nick's Grand Entrance, please arrive by 2PM. Beer & wine will be available once the gates open and cocktails & snacks will commence after the Grand Entrance at 2:15PM. The ceremony takes place at 4PM after the cocktail hour(s). Games and activities are available from 1:30PM and on. There's plenty to do walking along the pier if you get in early. Please reference the schedule tab for full details.
Yes - Navigate to our registry on top of this page or via the link below. After combining our own spaces into one, we have more than enough duplicates. Therefore, we are more interested in accomplishing house projects and covering big furniture and honeymoon expenses. The Zola registry sends money via Venmo, but if you prefer, Nick has Zelle (425-233-2660). If a check is more your thing, our address is 125 NW 49th St Seattle, WA 98107. https://www.zola.com/wedding/funandtrout/registry
Please RSVP by April 1st.
Yes! The event will be kid friendly. There is also a playground structure @ Pier 58, a short walk from our party @ Pier 62 if anyone needs a play break during the event. We encourage people to explore the waterfront park as they wish.
We are renting a tent for people to take cover if it's a short drizzle. Worst case, we head to the after party early and hope you see a beautiful sunset over the water another night <3.
Pier 62 is a very central location to explore the city. You can walk up the newly renovated Seattle Aquarium steps to Old Stove Brewery and catch an equally spectacular view of the Puget Sound/Olympic Mountains on your way to Pike Place Market. You can also head South and walk down the updated waterfront to embrace the prep work that went into hosting the World Cup (first game June 15). Or head North and check out the iconic Edgewater Hotel or Olympic Sculpture Park. There are also 2 ferry terminals on the waterfront. The walk on West Seattle ferry and the Bainbridge ferry are great options to explore parts of the City on foot or by car.
There are quite a few storage options near Pier 62 for an affordable price. Please note you must book in advance to reserve a personal storage space. Our venue is located in the heart of downtown and there are many hotel options to choose from. We selected a handful of close hotels on our "travel page" that we'd recommend, however there is no hotel block. We also encourage people to coordinate with other guests to share an Airbnb or VRBO if you prefer a less formal lodging experience. Don't hesitate to reach out to Nick or Elli if you need any more recommendations!
