Joyful. Sassy. Hilarious... these are all words I'd use to describe my girl, Elise. But the one thing I love and admire MOST about Elise is her desire to please God, her Father. She lives her life submitted to the Word of God and I have witnessed her read Scripture and allow it to change the way she thinks, acts, and lives! What an encouragement she is to me! One of my sweetest memories with Elise was leading a Bible study together during our big girls' trip to Dallas last summer! Elise, I am so very honored to be your maid of honor. Elise and Alex, it has been a joy to see how God has brought y'all together and how y'all complement one another in so many ways. My prayer for you both is that you each would continue to run crazy after Jesus... and in doing so, the Lord will bring y'all even closer and more and more knitted together in love. I love you guys!

I met Alex in Feb 2022. Since then, he has shown me he is a man of character, integrity, conviction, and moral clarity. He is also the man in love with and deeply committed to Elise. I see how he dotes on her. And I know how he does right by her. He and I may share a birthday, but he shares his life with her. He is a steward, a leader, and a giver of himself for others. I am honored to call him friend. And I am grateful our Father providentially brought us together as brothers in Christ.

Saying we always see eye-to-eye would be nothing short of a lie, but seeing how happy Alex makes Elise, I’m excited to see what the future holds for them. As Alex’s older sister I can be a bit protective of him. Over the last year I’ve seen how smitten Elise and him are with each other. It’s made me happy seeing how much she makes him happy. I first met Alex in college at Sewanee: The University of the South. I honestly don’t remember when we first met but what I do know is that we became fraternity brothers and have been friends ever since. We’ve had classes together, we avoided the gym together and instead went on late night Wendys and Waffle House runs, and had a multitude of card duels (IYKYK). Upon graduation we still kept in contact. Alex helped me get a job as a background investigator and we shared a mutual hatred and disdain for the job. Throughout the years I have witnessed Alex grow as a person and he has made many changes in his life. But the one thing that never changed was the positive aura that he exudes. His positivity and his laugh is infectious. You will never be in a bad mood around Alex. Upon meeting Elise and experiencing her positivity and energy, I knew right then that they were perfect for one another. I have never seen Alex this happy so I am extremely thrilled that Alex and Elise found each other.

I’m Elise’s youngest brother. We have always had a good relationship and we’ve always been able to talk, have fun, and overall be transparent with one another. As I have seen Alex and Elise over the past few months I have seen how close they are and it warms my heart seeing them like that because it reminds me of how close my sister and I are together. I hope they continue to grow on that relationship throughout their marriage and many years to come.

I met Elise when we were both attending college at MSU! We had a spanish class together, and were partners for a school project. Little did we know, that one school project was the start of such a beautiful friendship! Funny enough, we later found out we were neighbors and lived right next to each other, so we spent a lot of time going to trivia nights and enjoying our senior year. When we both graduated, I moved back to my hometown right outside of Jackson, MS. It was really sweet that Elise’s family lived close to me, so it was easier to keep up and see how much life had changed for the both of us after college. One thing I have loved to celebrate and see in Elise is how much she has grown in her relationship and love for Jesus. I remember seeing her life change drastically as she dedicated her life to Jesus, and it was so encouraging for me to see her step into the purpose that God had on her life. When she met Alex, I knew he was not only in love with Elise, but so in love with the Lord too. That’s what I’ve always wanted for my sweet friend Elise- to know and love the Lord, and to be loved by a man who truly honors her and the Lord! I can’t wait to celebrate and rejoice in all that God has done to bring Elise and Alex together. Praise Jesus for this friendship, and that I get to be a part of her special day!

I have known Elise less than a year. But in that short time, what strikes me most is her love for JESUS. Not only does Elise have a unique soul and a beautiful spirit, but again, her devotion to Christ is what I admire most as she lives out what she believes. Being around Elise, you will never be bored or sad because she will infect you with her sense of humor and her laughter! I'm so happy for Alex and Elise. I met Alex at church a few times on Sunday’s and Thursday night Bible studies. Overtime, my wife Charity and Elise were becoming good friends and started hanging out. This meant that we all ended up hanging out together getting dinner and what not. And then Alex and I started hanging out. Alex and Elise are a really fun couple to hangout with. Alex is a really genuine guy. He loves the Lord and it shows. I really respect how he is always filtering what he says with Scripture. Alex and Elise are an awesome couple and it’s been great to get to know them better. I wish them the best!

New to the state of MS, I decided to get a job at a local movie theater. That's where I met Elise. Though we worked at opposite sides of the building, we were destined to meet. Whether through the fact of how loud she was and how far her voice carried or by God's will. After we formally met, we began to become friends through small talk and something that became clear from the beginning was Elise and I's love for food. Elise treated me out to lunch one day and the pure joy on her face stuffed with food brought a smile to my own. I knew from then we had something special. Through our ups and downs, multiple states across and 8 years later, God has managed to bring us together time and time again. I'm thankful that I have been able to see where Elise has been and where she is going. Truly a blessing to have a friend like you. Congratulations Alex and Elise!

Elise and I met in college. Although we only knew each other for a semester, we kept up with one another by sharing encouraging messages and memes. One of my favorite memories are the times we hung out at the desk on Wednesday night when Elise was an attendant for our dorm at Ole Miss. We used to stay up late and talk until her shift was over, and she would share music with me (usually Bruno Mars). I admired her boldness, honesty and her ability to talk with anyone. I am truly grateful to have her in my life as a prayer partner, adviser, and friend. Now God has blessed her to find love and I am so thankful. I am looking forward to being a part of this celebration as her bridesmaid. My prayer is that through this journey, the bride and groom enjoy the adventure on their way to the aisle.
