The Spark at Virginia Tech (2012) Our story began in the fall of 2012 in Blacksburg. Corey had just transferred to Virginia Tech from the University of Kansas and was still finding his footing in Hokie Nation. We happened to be at the same party through a mutual friend, but for Tiffany, it wasn't just another introduction. The second he walked into the room, Tiffany leaned over to a friend and whispered the words that started it all: “OMG, who is that?” It was a simple question that carried the weight of a prayer she didn’t yet know was being answered. The Seasons in Between Our love wasn't a straight line; it was a journey through different seasons. Over the next several years, we navigated life sometimes side-by-side and sometimes apart. Looking back, we see now that God was working in those quiet spaces—allowing us to grow, to learn, and to prepare our hearts for a lifetime commitment. Even when we walked different paths, the connection we forged in Blacksburg remained a steady hum in the background of our lives. Coming Home to Each Other In 2021, the stars finally aligned. What started as a reconnection turned into the realization that we were never meant to be apart. That year, Corey packed up his life in Blacksburg and moved to Charlotte, NC, to officially begin a new chapter—and a new life—with Tiffany.
