Austin and Hannah met in November of 2018 when Austin started working at the Methodist Hospital Emergency Department where Hannah was already working as a nurse. After almost a year of working together, a lot of back and forth talking, and Hannah persistently inviting Austin to get-togethers, Austin eventually asked Hannah out to breakfast after one of their night shifts together. They finally started dating September 6th, 2019 and those post-shift breakfast dates became a tradition in the early parts of their relationship. Austin and Hannah took the leap and moved into their first house together in April of 2020 where they still reside in Greenwood, IN with their Blue Heeler, Vinny. In early 2022, Hannah began planning a trip out west to visit Utah, Arizona, and Colorado and Austin began planning to buy a ring and formulate the proposal. On October 21st 2022, Austin proposed to Hannah in her favorite spot on Earth, the top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park.
