High School Sweethearts

Jordan and Kari started off their relationship by attending multiple school dances together. They spent the entire summer of their sophomore year together as friends before Jordan officially asked Kari out. Fun fact, Kari told her dad and "protective" older brother (right as Jordan was pulling into the yard AND while they were too busy cleaning out grain bins to ask any questions) that Jordan was only picking her up on his way to town to hangout with their group of friends; instead, they went on their first date to Houfek's pond... and. they. bought. it. Once they started dating, they spent their summers together hanging out with their mutual friend group and doing any outdoor activity possible. Their favorite part of the summer was at the end, where they would spend the entire week down at the Saunders County Fairgrounds. Fast-forward through college years and now they are planning a wedding!

The Proposal

After going out for sushi in the Haymarket in Lincoln one chilly evening in February, Aly, Andy, and Jordan were all persistent in going to a specific but random bar that Kari saw no purpose in going to. Once reaching the train station, Jordan got down on one knee and asked Kari to marry him! He then surprised her with many of their family and closest friends waiting for them to celebrate at their favorite bar... RK's in Malmo! Kari was shocked that she never caught on to all of the behind-the-scenes planning.. she maybe said a maximum of ten different words during their drive back to Malmo. ---- We are so thankful for everyone's love and support, and we cannot wait to celebrate this very special day with each and every one of you! See you soon! With love, The (almost) Fujans
