According to a 1996 article clipping from the Oregonian, this is the largest Sequoia in Oregon. Surmised to be planted by pioneer John Ramsey Porter in the 1870s for those tree nuts out there. Other inordinately large objects in FG is the American Flag at the entrance in town. You can't miss it!
