Men's "Jalabiya" robes and women in "toob" full-length dresses. Gaudy, high-end designer watches, sunglasses and gold jewellery.

Mo watches his uncles pass around a mic to give wedding speeches. Mo is very, very high. Then Mo’s father hands him the mic. His turn to speak. Mo freezes.  Mo hates coming back to Sudan. Every time Mo’s dad brags about how good there life is overseas. He expects Mo to play along. But this time, Mo refuses. Later, his dad is enraged. Why won’t Mo won’t take responsibility for his place in the family?  Mo seethes. He has nothing in common with his family here. Plus his cousins always try to steal his things. They assume he is rich. But during this trip, Mo isn’t taking any shit. He gets revenge.  To celebrate, Mo go to a seedy neighbourhoods. But gets busted buying hash. Mo sits in a police cell facing drugs charges via sharia law. But a detective recognizes Mo’s family name. He makes a call. Mo’s cousins pay the right people. He’s free. They even gave him back his has hash.  So Mo, sitting in the mosque, Mo stands to speak to his family.

A Hospice Chapel

Cellist Pipi returns to Berkley for her dying sister’s wedding. She’s supposed to play the wedding march. And give a speech. But she can’t get it written. How do you toasts your sister’s health and future when she’s dying? The wedding is more of an obligation than a celebration. The family hates her fiancee. But everyone is trying. She always wanted a husband, home, kids. Unlike Pipi. Yet She lives in Paris with her French writer husband, second cello at a major chamber orchestra; dream life. Except, Pipi can’t shake the guit about her sister. In the hospice chapel, Pipi plays the Helliger Dankesang for a wedding march. Marta can barely make it down the isle. The priest has to rush the vows when Marta gets sick on herself. Later, a makeshift party around Marta’s bed. Pipi raises her glass to make the speech. But Marta insists that hearing her talented little sister play again is enough. Back on the plane, Pipi digs around in carry-on. She finds a pregnancy test. It's positive
