When Nicole walked into Can Bar in her Seattle neighborhood she couldn’t help but notice Dan sitting by himself on the outdoor patio. His friendly face and welcoming demeanor made her think “I think that’s the man I’m supposed to be meeting from Tinder.” The rest is history. After months of great conversation, sailing adventures, cooking pasta, and silent hangouts when Nicole lost her voice thanks to a virus from her classroom…they decided they wanted more time together and moved in together. When living together was going so well they thought “why don’t we add a tiny, expensive land shark with zero impulse control into the mix?” And they brought home their Labrador puppy Wanda soon after. Then, when sleepless nights of puppy potty training and filling in holes in the yard only brought them closer together, they decided maybe they were up for even more challenges. As they make their move across the country to settle and get married on the east coast, they are very thankful to have found each other, and for everyone in their communities that wants to celebrate them.
