Point Reyes National Seashore
Point Reyes Station is an adorable little town at the gateway to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Point Reyes is a stunningly gorgeous national park with amazing hiking, solid Bay Area beaches, biking and kayaking, a lighthouse, and if you're lucky you might see an elephant seal or some tule elk.
Muir Woods National Monument
Have we mentioned that we love redwood trees? If you've never seen them, this is the place. Pro-tip: you need to reserve parking in advance of your visit, and there's no cell service in the park.
Sonoma County
Sonoma County is a local favorite for wine-tasting, a little closer to the Bay Area than Napa. Start in extremely charming Petaluma for shopping and snacks, then head out to some of Sonoma's hidden gem wineries.
Napa Valley
Napa Valley Wine Country! What more can we say, there's a lot of good wine to taste out here.
Golden Gate Bridge
You can walk across it! Very cool!
