How He Proposed

October 19, 2019

He had been planning it for weeks. My parents and his parents were all in on it and they talked and met up to plan it all out. He asked for my parents’ blessing (mom, dad, and step dad) who of course gave him the okay. The week leading up the the proposal, I was being my nosy self and tried to figure out what he was planning. His aunt pushed and said that it was probably just a dinner for both of our parents to meet and hang out (thanks Brooke for steering me away to be surprised.) He picked out my dress and brought me downtown to the Read House. After we parked, I saw a gorgeous alleyway-of course I wanted to go there and take pictures. This was his plan all along. He knew I’d love it and that it would be the perfect “Yes” spot. We grabbed a drink with our parents and went for a walk towards the alley-me still be oblivious. We posed for pictures and then I felt a tap behind me. I turned and there he was, my perfect fiancé down on one knee. I was screaming YES in my head. I was overcome with emotions and so excited to finally marry my best friend.
