About Our Venue and Vendors

The Wedding Website of Sarah Jean Grzybowski and Kevin Florek
Kevin and I are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! We share a deep love of family and friends, along with a commitment to our community. We selected our venue and our vendors to reflect that. Because the mission and values of these businesses touched our hearts, we wanted to share a little of their stories with you.
Question

John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove

Answer

First to provide a little history, the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove was the first home of John James Audubon in the United States - right here in Montgomery County, PA! He was a French-American self-trained artist, naturalist, and ornithologist. His combined interests in art and ornithology turned into a plan to make a complete pictorial record of all the bird species of North America. His passion for ornithology grew into the National Audubon Society. This society protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow, throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation. Today, the 175-acre estate is a haven for birds and wildlife, the property boasts more than seven miles of trails and stunning views of the Perkiomen Creek. Exhibits in the Visitors Center explore the life and art of John James Audubon, as well as the sounds, traits, and habitats of birds. The historic, three-story, stone farmhouse contains a museum exploring the history of Mill Grove and its residents, including John James Audubon and the Wetherill family, who owned the site from 1813-1951. As part of the contract to use the space for our wedding day, a large part of the cost is a direct donation to the bird sanctuary. We're thankful to be able to contribute to such a beautiful location! Question

Jeffrey A. Miller Catering

Answer

Jeffrey A. Miller (JAM) Catering is supplying all of the food, drinks, and desserts for our wedding. From the very beginning, we were drawn in by their ethos of "By Hand, With Heart." All of the food for the day is made onsite by their on-staff talented chefs (and pastry chef!). The company partners with local farmers to source sustainable and quality ingredients. Additionally, JAM is very selective with the venues they serve and vendors they work with - ensuring that they they are mission-driven partners and giving back in some way. Hospitality and community is at the heart of what they do - we're excited to be part of the "JAMily." They do lots of events and serve many venues in the Philly area, so definitely recommend you checking out their website! https://jamcater.com/about/

Question

Colonial Gardens

Answer

Our flowers are coming from the local nursey, Colonial Gardens. This nursey is a family owned and operated business with deep roots in the Phoenixville/Kimberton area community. The Grzybowski family has used their services for many projects over the years; but has purchased flowers from the florist for many life events as well. It's very meaningful to be able to have our flowers come from them for this special day and to continue to support the family. https://colonialgardenspa.com/about-us/
