We're getting married!

We met at a local Goshen restaurant after matching online (thank you, Hinge). Alison’s first impression of Mike—after a FaceTime call—was that he was incredibly easy to talk to. Mike’s first impression of Alison was that she was beautiful and sweet. Things got a little awkward (in the best way) when Alison ordered a mint tea and asked Mike if he thought it was weird—something they still laugh about today. The early days of dating were filled with trying new restaurants around South Bend and finding any excuse to spend more time together. We both knew things were getting serious when we spent Halloween dressed as dodgeball characters and had way too much fun. Since we met in October, the holidays came quickly, and we didn’t hesitate to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with each other’s families. From the beginning, we bonded over our shared love of family, Christ, and sports. Since then, we’ve loved going to Cubs games, Mike cheering Alison on at her tennis matches, and spending quiet time at home with our two dogs. In December, Mike proposed while walking around Notre Dame’s campus—the same place where he first told Alison he loved her. He then surprised her with a dinner surrounded by their closest family and friends. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of our loved ones and are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
