Our Big Day

Callie and Dakota first met as coworkers, and one night, someone suggested that the group grab a few drinks at the local bar after work. Neither of them thought much of it at the time—it was just supposed to be a casual night out with friends. But sometimes, the best stories start when you least expect them. Between easy conversation and plenty of laughs, the two of them began to hit it off. Before long, they found themselves at the dart boards with a few friends, and Dakota called on Callie to be on his team. After sweeping the board and claiming victory, he couldn’t deny the spark he felt between them—it was like they were already the perfect duo. With a grin, Dakota gave Callie a high five and said, “You know what?” She smiled and asked, “What?” He replied, “We should make this forever thing.” At the time, it was just a playful comment—but looking back, it might have been the most honest thing he could’ve said. When the night came to an end and everyone went their separate ways, Dakota couldn’t get Callie off his mind. The next morning, he reached out and asked her to join him for brunch at the local Cracker Barrel (you know, the one they haven’t managed to screw up yet). And from there, it was off to the races.
