Shem Creek is a scenic strip of waterfront restaurants/bars in Mount Pleasant. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy fresh seafood, relax by the water, and catch the sunset. Zach and I love heading to Red’s Ice House for live music, drinks, and a laid-back vibe.
Just a short drive from Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island is the perfect beach escape. It’s a quieter, more relaxed alternative to the busier beaches—with wide, peaceful shores, no big crowds, and a charming small-town feel. After some sun, grab a bite or a cocktail at one of the local spots along Middle Street—we recommend Home Team BBQ, The Longboard and The Obstinate Daughter (reservations recommended)!
Downtown Charleston is full of history and charm, but what we love most is the incredible food scene. Here’s a few of our favorite spots: • Millers All Day – Our go-to spot for breakfast! Open daily at 8 AM for breakfast and brunch. They don’t take reservations, so we recommend arriving early or putting your name on the list and strolling around King Street while you wait. • 167 Raw – A local favorite for oysters and fresh seafood. They’re open for lunch and dinner, but don’t take reservations—so plan to go early, put your name on the list, and shop around or grab a drink at Bar 167 (just around the corner) while you wait. • Amen Street – Zach and I love to go sit at the bar here. It has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and consistently great seafood and oysters. • Leon’s – Casual spot for fried chicken, oysters, and good vibes. • Hall’s Chophouse – Classic steakhouse, perfect for a nice dinner out.
