FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to St Croix?

Answer

No! St. Croix is apart of the U.S. Virgin Islands, so you do NOT need a passport to travel to and from the island.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at Carambola Beach Resort. We highly recommend staying on the resort. Although there are AirBnb options on the island, there are not many near the resort or venue. Most are a 30+ min drive from where we will be. If you decide to stay off resort, we will not be able to provide transportation to and from the events, so a rental car would be necessary. See the "travel" tab on our website for more information about booking and getting our wedding discount!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

We will be providing transportation starting Wednesday (1/28) through Monday (2/2). We have covered transportation to and from the hotel to the airport, to and from the hotel to the rehearsal dinner, and to and from the hotel to the venue on wedding day. We will have access to the transportation services every day, so if you would rather rely on our services and taxis on the island, that is perfectly fine! Uber and Lyft are not an option on the island. Keep in mind, Crucians drive on the left side of the road, so it takes some getting used to!

Question

Is everyone invited to the welcome party and rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Yes! All of our guests are welcome to each event on Thursday and Friday. We have a small group of our closest family and friends, so we are able to include everyone at each event leading up to the big day! RSVP information can be found on the website.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

As much as we would love to accommodate children at the wedding, we are very limited with the amount of guests we can have at our venue. We will be having an adult only wedding. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What is the dress code for each event?

Answer

Thursday, January 29th - Welcome Event --> casual attire (shorts, tshirts, flip flops, bathing suits, etc.) Friday, January 30th - Rehearsal Dinner --> beachy casual attire (sundresses, shorts, short sleeve shirts) Saturday, January 31st - Wedding --> semi-formal beach attire (cocktail dresses, linen pants, no suit jacket required - please wear shoes, as we will not be in the sand)

Question

What is the weather like in January?

Answer

January is a very pleasant time of year in St Croix, with average temperatures in the low to mid 80s during the day. At night, the temperature drops to the low to mid 70s. The humidity is moderate compared to the summer, so it is quite comfortable. Definitely pack a light sweater for the evenings, as sometimes the breeze can cool things down once the sun has set!
