Great local brewery located at the base of Bogus Basin Rd. Awesome place to stop after a bike ride or hike!

Highlands Hollow Brewhouse

Definitely our favorite spot in town and home to many of our dates. Fantastic bagels and cream cheese made in-house. Heck yes.

Blue Sky Bagels

Idaho's premier spooky historic site! Emily's been giving tours at the Pen for years, and Ian has spent many late nights bringing snacks and coffee to the site during paranormal investigations. What a guy!

Old Idaho Penitentiary Site

This hole-in-the-wall model railroad is actually incredible, and so is the owner. It's in the basement of the Pioneer Building and you have to do some creeping to find it, but it's worth it.

Our favorite brewery - home to many Catholic young adult meetups and lots of amazing beer!

We've spent many an afternoon perusing the vinyl at this local record store.

We love hiking - especially with the dog! If you want to get out and stretch your legs over the weekend, go check out the Fort Boise Military Reserve. It's packed with wonderful trails and features a historic military cemetary.

Old buildings are the best! Take a trip to the State Capitol Building, which has lots of great exhibits and rich history.

Bittercreek Alehouse

A great, quick nature walk right next to the Boise River! We've stopped off here many times during weekend bike rides. They've got a great interpretive center, lots of fish to see, and stellar bird watching.

MK Nature Center - Idaho Fish and Game

One of Ian's many skills is that he is a beast at bowling. He competes at this local bowling alley - go check it out if you're looking for some fun!
