Molly grew up in Auburn, California. While touring colleges, Molly & her parents ate at the UC Davis Dining Commons and she thought "yeah, ok. I could eat that for a year". Ian grew up in San Diego. He hadn't even toured UC Davis, but luckily he didn't get in to Berkeley so he decided to go to Davis instead. In 2010, Ian & Molly met as Freshmen. They were just friends for the first few years, but they often hung out and ate together at "late night" on campus with other friends. Then, in January 2013, Ian invited Molly over for homemade beef stroganoff. He didn't know she was lactose intolerant, but it was delicious nonetheless. It's been love ever since. The love grew, and the food kept getting better. In 2016 Molly & Ian moved into their first place together in Petaluma. There was an all-you-can-eat sushi bar about a mile away, and Sol Food was conveniently in between them and San Francisco. In 2019, they moved to San Jose. Molly started baking bread, and they explored a variety of restaurants nearby. On January 1st, 2020, Ian suggested that they go out to a nice sushi dinner to ring in the new year. Before they headed out to dinner, he proposed. So what's coming up next for Molly & Ian? It's time to party! (and eat!)

Ian & Molly are both deeply grateful for the love & support of their families. For nearly a decade now, Molly's family has welcomed Ian with open arms, and Ian's family has done the same for Molly. We want to take a brief space here to share our deep love & gratitude for the people who raised us and shaped us into the people we are today.
