Two lovebirds met on a crisp mountain day atop the remnants of Mount Mazama in Crater Lake National Park. A resilient Texan woman and a hardworking Oregonian man, united by their shared passion for conservation, found themselves working side by side. This dynamic duo became inseparable during the uncertain times of 2020. Bre, who had moved from Texas, found comfort in Josh’s kind and caring nature, and admired his natural ability to make anyone smile. They grew closer, finding stability in their love amidst ever-changing work seasons. Trail crew, historic building maintenance, and wildlife refuge management are a few of many experiences that have shaped their journey. Their adventurous spirits have guided them from the Redwoods of California to the Everglades of Florida. In July 2023, Josh realized just how special Bre was to him. He secured a job in central Washington performing wildlife refuge maintenance, while Bre found a position at a neighboring wildlife refuge. As the summer progressed, Josh's feelings for Bre deepened. On August 31st, at Oregon’s highest waterfall, with a hidden photographer in place, Josh got down on one knee, and Bre said yes! Their love is a true blessing. Now, both have achieved their lifelong dreams of becoming Park Rangers in the very corridor where the proposal took place. Join Bre and Josh in holy matrimony at the Gruene Estate on October 25th, 2024, at 4 PM.
