We're getting married!

The year was 2015 - the start of their Freshman year at Boston University. Both were on campus a week early to volunteer for a group helping animals (surprise, surprise). They met behind Warren Towers as two people from opposite sides of the country. He was a Jersey kid wearing a tank top and backwards hat, and she was a California girl in jean shorts and flip flops. But they knew their story was more than this. As the saying goes: "Good things take time," and what followed was a year and a half of friends and family asking about "The Boy" or "The Girl". The year was 2017 - the spring semester of their Sophomore year. Both had friends drop hints that they should be more than friends. She asked him to her sorority formal and he made sure to close the night with a kiss. They don't know the date it became official, but he started introducing her as "his girlfriend". She was surprised, they hadn't talked about that yet. He didn't care. The year was 2022 - the big move to Phoenix, AZ after just under a year living together in Omaha, NE. He had bought a ring, and she had a premonition without any proof. They drove to the Phoenician with their families for the "surprise". A table topped with champagne, swirls of roses on the grass, and a view of desert mountains in the background. He got on one knee. She said yes. This has been an unbelievable journey so far. The two have laughed at and with each other, cried sad and happy tears, celebrated the great and endured the tough. They've lived all across the country, shared in several graduations, adopted three pets, and started new adventures. But the best part of all of this: Taylor and Jake have done it together; just like they knew they would back in 2015.
