Wedding Party

Leah Rheinlander

Maid of Honor

Taylor and I have known each since we were in halos and angel wings, thanks to our mothers who crafted our costumes for Herman Son's Dance class. We were around 5 when we first met, but because we went to different schools, we lost touch for a few years. It wasn't until age 13 that we were selected to be on the same soccer team, The Patriots, that we met again and became the best of friends. A decade later and we have remained close ever since!

Matthew McFarland

Best Man

I met Alan at Texas State and we hit it off right away, talking about video games and anything that didn’t have to do with our math class. Alan was easy to talk to, and we quickly became friends. That summer, we decided to become roommates, until we both moved to Austin. In early 2016, we decided to team up as roommates again until we made the big decision to purchase our own homes, unintentionally 10 minutes apart. After all this time, we still get together over the weekends or just jump online during the week to play a game or two after work. I feel extremely lucky to have Alan as a friend. Together we have graduated college, established careers, purchased homes, and found the loves of our lives. I’m so happy for Alan and Taylor and can’t wait to see where the world takes them.

Sam Post

Man of Honor

I had just moved from Round Rock, Texas, and left all of my old friends behind. It was very lonely in middle school at that time in my life and the school counselor tried to help out by putting me in various groups at lunch. What she didn't know was my place was at the table with Miss Taylor Frey and Leah Rheinlander. I thought Taylor was pretty cute, so I ended up trying to date her three times; however, I did not know I actually liked dudes. OOPS! Sorry, Taylor! Since then, we have only grown closer and had many adventures; from floating the river to my failing to ride a horse on the beach, there has never been a dull moment with Taylor. I couldn't feel any more lucky to have ended up at the same lunch table, even 13 years later.

The first time I met Alan was in Middle School. I met up with my friend but I was a bit confused to see a taller kid wearing a baggy T-shirt, sandals, and swim trunks standing next to him. I had no idea who this was, but I invited him to come over. I’m sure you can guess by now, but this person I was meeting was our very own Alan Rudman. He wanted us to play the game he brought with him. I agreed to play assuming it would be fun, but it turned out to not be fun and we didn’t get along well at all! This very easily could have been where the story ended but Alan persisted in inviting me to hangout. Over time we grew to be friends. He always made a point to include me, and this is something that everyone who knows Alan well can speak to. He has always tried to bring people together!

First, let me just start by saying how much I love Frey. Last year, I decided to not only change campuses but also districts. I ended up at Bluebonnet Trail Elementary. I already knew I was going to have big shoes to fill because the person's position I took was an amazing teacher and their departmentalized team worked well together. I knew I would do my best to fit in, and we all clicked right away . Fast forward to October, when the hectic chaos of our third team member being on maternity leave bonded us further. Frey or Rudman, I can't imagine not having her in my life. I'm so glad that I that I met Taylor because she has turned into one of my best friends and I love her so much!

Groomsman

I first met Alan after moving to Texas, and little did I expect to form a friendship that will hopefully last a lifetime. Not even minutes after being first introduced to him, I broke the leg on his bed due to an surprise body slam towards another one of our group. Despite just meeting me and the inconvenience he was not phased because of his accepting personality. I knew he was someone I would want to spend time with. He values his friendships and this is the sole reason that our group has stayed together, and I love our newer additions that he has introduced just as much as our old ones. Speaking of love, there is not a single one of us who hasn't had their hearts warmed from Taylor's debut. May their future's be great because I can't think of two better people who deserve to be happy.

Where do I begin....Taylor and I met in 2012, our Freshman year of college. It was best friends at first sight when we sat next to each other in our first History Of Interiors class. Ever since, we were attached at the hip! Whether it was riding to class together with your handicap parking pass, getting stuck in elevators, or my right hand gal with a good margarita or glass of wine. I cherish our friendship and am so thankful to have met such an amazing friend. I am so happy for you and Alan. Let's get you MARRIED!!

Groomsman

Alan and I first met in middle school in Mrs. Webbers English class. We first started talking about super smash brothers and our relationship developed into him being better at most video games (Not salty). He has been one of the most reliable and understanding friends I have had in life. Alan is the glue that has held all of our friends together over the years. Even after I abandoned the friend group and rejoined after college it was like I hadn't missed a day. He was always welcoming and going out of his way to get everyone together to hangout or play games together. Some of the fondest memories I have of middle school are in Alan's old basement and working at cottage cafe with my boys. I'm lucky to call Alan my friend and I can't wait for the future memories we will have together.

Taylor and I met while attending design school at Texas State University. After several sleepless nights of our study groups where we bonded over our challenging classes, eating pizza, and day-dreaming about how we would act on our own reality show, we have remained friends ever since!

Groomsman

The moment I knew Alan and I were going to be good friends happens to also be the first time we met. After my orientation for my first day of work at General Motors, I was taken to my 4-person cubicle where I walked in and there sat Alan, wearing a soon to be infamous Battletoads shirt, and from that moment, I knew we would be good friends. More than three years, countless laps around the GM loop, and hundreds of lunches later we are closer friends than ever before. He was one of my first friends after moving to Austin and I can’t imagine my last three years with him not in it.

Bridesmaid

Taylor and I met when studying interior design at Texas State. Late nights and one too many project deadlines later our friendship bloomed. Taylor is one of the most genuine and kindhearted people I know and I cant wait to see her share that kindness and joy with Alan in this journey of marriage!

Jared Mclendon

Groomsman

I met Alan when I started a new job at Golden Frog. Turns out that he liked the same video games as me, he hated the job as much as I did, and we both had an obsession with fried chicken. Little did I realize that these two things would be the foundation of an awesome friendship. When Alan started to date Taylor, my wife Aidan and I went with them on a double date to see a movie called Raw. If you haven't seen it, it's a movie about cannibalism and it's full of really...uncomfortable scenes - what better way to break the ice! I'm not sure how Taylor could put up with that movie along with Aidan's bad puns and Alan and I's horrible commentary, AND not ghost all three of us afterward. What a lady! I'm so happy for you two, and it's an honor to be a part of your big day!

Morgan McFarland

Bridesmaid

I was introduced to Taylor through one of my favorite people - the Groom, Alan! I met Alan at Texas State, where one day after class; he asked me if I wanted to study with him. This kid looked like good people, and I was always looking to make friends, so of course I said yes. From studying, hanging out at his place, never leaving and marrying his roommate and the best man; he’s been a constant. Almost exactly 5 years after introducing me to the love of my life, Alan introduced us to his. Taylor was the missing puzzle piece in the group we were waiting on Alan to find. I knew immediately we would be great friends, and that has grown as we share this life with 2 great guys! I am so honored to be a part of their wedding party, and so happy to have made such amazing life-long friends.

Christopher Chiles

Groomsman

I first met Alan in high school through our mutual friend Mark who invited me over to “Alan’s” house. Little did I know, as I sat in the perfect surroundings for a bunch of dudes into gaming and chatted with Mark that this was about to be the start of some of the most meaningful friendships of my life. Alan’s house was more than just a place to go hang out and play games after school, it was a place of good times and good memories. Alan’s house was a place of friendship. From the moment Alan welcomed me and handed me that gaming controller, we have been friends and even though those controllers have changed over the years, our friendship has not. In some form or another, we are still sitting on that couch at Alan’s house and playing games together.
