Due to the pandemic, we are only allowed the state maximum requirements for an outside gathering. As of today all invited guests have been notified. If we are able to invite more, then we will continue to reach out. We are currently working on a Zoom option for invited guests. Zoom info will be provided once available. They were introduced by a mutual friend which at the time seemed like a chance encounter but turns out wasn't by chance at all. Brandy, one of their Bridesmaids is one of Jessica's best friends. Brandy and Aaron worked together at the time. He didn't know it but Brandy had been vetting Aaron and thought him and Jessica would be a good match. Well, she was right! Aaron was given her social media and her number and nervously texted her one Friday night. He's embarrassed to admit it but he had planned to actually tell her he wasn't interested. At the time he thought it would be too risky to date a coworkers' best friend. At least he thought that's what he wanted. She was so easy to talk to, so inviting, so kind, he never got to tell her! After talking for a few weeks everyday, Jessica asked Aaron out. She got tired of waiting for him to ask her. He really wanted to but was so nervous, so she beat him to it. They met for lunch one day downtown Norfolk and haven't been apart since.

Aaron fell deep in love with Jessica and knew very early on he wanted to marry her. After a full year and half of dating, Aaron purchased her ring in January 2020. After asking her parents blessing he chose February 29, 2020 to pop the question. Aaron knowing what's most important to Jessica arranged to have her family and close friends in attendance. The ring burned a hole in his pocket for a whole month having to plan and keep this secret from her. Jessica's parents and close friends tirelessly helped plan and organize the Proposal followed by a celebration dinner at her parents house. Aaron made dinner reservations and booked a babysitter for Breann. Of course this was to throw Jessica off about the actual plans for the evening. Aaron ordered an Uber and proceeded to downtown Norfolk. Once downtown, Aaron and Jessica proceeded to walk down the street to the same spot where they sat talking after eating lunch on their first date. Its at that spot on Granby Street across from Sweet Teas is where Aaron felt he had an undeniable connection with Jessica and didn't want the date to end. As they made their way to that same spot, they were met by their friends and family gathered around them as Aaron got on one knee and asked Jessica to marry him. After the proposal, everyone went back to Jessica's parents house for a night of celebration!
