Are you registered? Should I bring a gift?

Answer

🇺🇸 Registries are not customary in Germany so we are keeping with tradition this time. Your presence at our wedding is gift enough! Should you wish to give a gift as well, a monetary gift would be gratefully put toward our immigration costs. For those unable to join us in Germany, we hope to see you in Michigan where we will celebrate beginning our new life together. Registry will follow. 🇩🇪 Unser größtes Geschenk ist es, gemeinsam mit euch zu feiern! Möchtet ihr uns eine zusätzliche Freude bereiten, freuen wir uns über einen Beitrag zu unseren zukünftigen Kosten für Patricks Immigrationsprozess.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception? / Welche Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es?

🇺🇸 Close to the location of the ceremony "Altes Stadthaus" you will find the parking garage "Friendensplatz". The price for 1 hour is 2€ and for 2 hours it's 4€. Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the payment terminals. Two weddings? / Zwei Hochzeiten?

🇺🇸 We’d love to have everyone together, but understand that traveling overseas is not for everyone. All of you are important to us, so while our official wedding ceremony will be in Germany, we plan to celebrate in both countries. We’d love to mix our people as much as possible so you are welcome to attend one or both! 🇩🇪 Am Liebsten wäre es uns natürlich, wenn wir alle gemeinsam feiern könnten. Wir verstehen jedoch, dass eine Reise ins Ausland nicht für jeden möglich ist. Die offizielle Trauung wird zwar in Deutschland stattfinden, aber da ihr uns alle wichtig seid, planen wir in beiden Ländern zu feiern. Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, an einer oder beiden Feiern teilzunehmen!

🇺🇸 Once we are married we will begin the process for Patrick to immigrate to the USA! 🇩🇪 Sobald wir verheiratet sind beginnen wir den Prozess für Patricks Immigration in die USA!

When is the USA wedding? / Wann findet die Hochzeitsfeier in den USA statt?

🇺🇸 We have our eye on Fall 2025 in Michigan but that’s as specific as it gets for now! The exact timing will be somewhat subject to immigration. 🇩🇪 Wir planen derzeit im Herbst 2025 erneut mit euch feiern zu können. Viel genauer können wir es leider noch nicht sagen, da der genaue Zeitpunkt davon abhängt wann Patrick in die USA ziehen kann.
