When Anthony and I moved up to Munds Park, we adopted our first dog named Tuff. We took her to this beautiful Aspen Tree grove in our very own woods, found a tree, and he signed it for us. After one more sweet pup later, (us 3 girls rule the house) and quite a few trips to visit “our tree” to snap some pictures… he asked me on a beautiful Saturday morning if I wanted to go for a quad ride. It was nothing out of the ordinary, as we frequently go out to find new trails, or look for animals. Not knowing what was to come, I dressed in my usual “knowing I’m going to get covered in dirt” attire. That being, a camouflage shirt and plain jeans. Which if I’m being honest, made it even more of a romantic surprise! When I started to see the Aspen grove, I was just plain excited considering he didn’t mention he was taking me to our tree. (He often surprises me by driving to it) When we got off the quad, he told me he wanted to set his phone up to take a picture of us since we were alone. Usually we had a roommate, or someone else to take a picture of us when we stopped there, but I figured it was a smart idea he had just come up with. Me being totally, and I mean totally oblivious stood there posing. He kneeled down beside me and from my perspective, it looked like he was “fixing his boot” for the picture.” Next thing I know he pulls out a paper towel, unravels it, and opens that pretty little box, only to reveal the most gorgeous ring. Then he said those four simple words that most women dream of hearing someday. “Will you marry me?” Of course I started ugly crying and asking him if he was serious. I mean duh, why else would he do all of this to make it so special! I honestly don’t even know if I actually said yes! He got the point though. After the ring was placed perfectly on my finger, the rest was history. Just a funny thing to add- I waited until the following day to tell anyone or post online, and woke up first thing the next morning to glue nails on! -Grace
