Our wedding and reception will be taking place at Loft Lucia (7 N Carpenter St) in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. We plan an outdoor patio ceremony followed by dinner and drinks indoors.
Black tie optional! This typically means fun and fancy, with options ranging from cocktail dresses and suits to gowns and tuxedos.
We love your babies, but we want to focus on celebrating with you!
We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in a very walkable neighborhood close to one of our hotel blocks and easily accessible via public transportation. There is street parking available for those who feel comfortable driving, and Uber or Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.
September is the best month of the year in Chicago - typically still warm, but not hot, with lots of sunshine. That said, we can't guarantee the weather, so we recommend checking the local forecast closer to the wedding weekend.
After the ceremony, the couple will be taking photos with their families and wedding party for about an hour while our guests enjoy a cocktail hour on site. Dinner will be served around 7pm, with dinner and drinks to follow.
We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.
We have hotel blocks booked in the West Loop as well as in the Loop (downtown) neighborhoods of Chicago. The former is several blocks from our venue and the latter is just over a mile away. See more information on the Travel tab of this website. Chicago has a wealth of other hotel, B&B, and Airbnb options available to suit your taste and preference.
At this time we are continuing to keep an eye on the situation, and will develop and adjust our plan accordingly. We hope all joining us will be vaccinated (and boosted) by our wedding date - especially because depending on what is going on with the state of the pandemic, the City of Chicago may continue to have an enforced indoor vaccine mandate in place at the time of our event. As of January 2022, this requires our venue to collect documentation of vaccination from guests ahead of time or at the door in order for them to enter.
Yes! Our venue is fully accessible, including all four multi-person restrooms and elevator access to both floors.
We will have warm passed bites during cocktail hour and family-style dinner during the reception. Please let us know if you have dietary concerns.
Please let us know when you RSVP what your restrictions are.
Yes, we will be serving cocktails, wine, and beer during cocktail hour and the reception.
