The Wedding Website of Stephanie Freeman and Andrew Hart
If you have any other questions, please dont hesitate to text Andrew or Stephanie!
Question

Where is your wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be in the Bayou City of Houston, TX. Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Art Nouveau Bar in Midtown Houston (2913 Main St.).

Question

Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?

Answer

We've chosen to make our wedding for adults only and appreciate this creates an additional burden of finding childcare the night of the event. We want you - the hardworking parents to little ones - to be able to enjoy yourselves at our wedding! For our of town guests with kids, please text Andrew and Stephanie for child care options in Houston.

Question

The only real question - what food or drink can I expect at the wedding reception?

Answer

The wedding dinner will be BBQ from one of our local favorites - The Pit Room (if you require a vegetarian meal, please indicate this in your RSVP). There will be plenty of dessert - wedding cake, pie, cookies, etc - from Red Dessert Dive, a local bakery we enjoy. There will be an open bar with Lone Star, Lone Star Light, signature cocktails, and any other drink you may desire.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is cocktail or comfortable dressy - button-up shirts, dresses. Wear something that makes you happy and you can dance in!

Question

What weather should I expect in late February in Houston?

Answer

Weather in Houston can be unpredictable! We would expect the temperature to be between 40 and 70F in late February. A cold snap (high 30s) or a heat wave (80s) is always possible. Best to check the weather the week before the event.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are indoors at Art Nouveau Bar (2913 Main St). There is a small outdoor patio at the bar available for break from indoors.

Question

What time is the Ceremony? What time is the Reception?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:45pm so plan to arrive by 5:30pm to find a seat. After the ceremony, there will be a short cocktail hour with musical entertainment. Dinner will be available from ~6:30 to 8:00pm. Dancing and frivolity to follow! See Schedule section of website for more details.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately after the ceremony, Andrew, Stephanie and the wedding party may go to the adjacent park to take some photographs (weather permitting). Guests will be invited to grab a cocktail with some musical entertainment while the venue does some quick re-arranging of the furniture to get us ready for dinner. Dancing and merriment to follow!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there parking?

Answer

Transportation from local hotels will not be provided, however the venue has ample parking. Please use Uber, Lyft, or Alto to ensure safe rides to and from your home or hotel.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We are using an electronic RSVP - no little card to return to us! Please scan the QR code on your invitation with the camera on your smart phone. This will pop up a link to our RSVP site on our wedding website. If this isn't working, please text Stephanie or Andrew to give us your RSVP.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by Dec 31, 2023 so we can get enough BBQ and drinks for you!

Question

I can't attend the wedding in person, will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

We would love for you to be able to attend in person, and appreciate that is not always possible. We are not planning to livestream the wedding at this point.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend staying in Houston?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at Hotel Zaza Midtown (Booking code ###) and ### Hotel downtown Houston.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes - we will have an open bar at the wedding starting with the cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony. Lone Star, Lone Star Light, signature cocktails, and any other drink you may want will be available. Non-alcoholic drinks such as sweet tea, soda, and sparkling water, will also be available

Question

Are you registered? Where should I ship your gift?

Answer

Your attendance at our wedding is the real gift! If you are so inclined to send us a wedding present, please see our wedding registry or baby registry on the Registry page of this website. Purchasing through the registry gets it shipped directly to us in Houston.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We ask you to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to allow our professional photographer time and space to execute their craft. Just be unplugged, admire the surroundings and enjoy the ceremony. For the rest of the evening, we encourage guests to take photos and post with the #FreeHartWedding hashtag so we can see them all!
