This is one of our favorite restaurants on Las Olas. Check out their Saturday/Sunday brunch or happy hour, and definitely order the calamari.
Definitely check out our beaches while your here. There are jet skis, paddle boards, and bikes to rent, many restaurants, and a beautiful ocean to dip your toes into.
Another one of our favorite restaurants. And it's right across the street from our place! Family owned with delicious Latin food. The ceviche, mussels, and the skirt steak are our faves, but everything is amazing and the owner Frank can guide you to the right choice.
Want to see where it all began? This surf shop located at Beach Place, next to everything the beach has to offer, is where we met in 2009. Feel free to go in and bother the GM (if you're reading this, hi Len!). He'll be super pumped to meet you.. especially if you're from NJ. ... and hopefully you know we love sarcasm. 😹❤
Right around the corner from our apartment is a beautiful brick walkway that follows alongside the New River. You can rent bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc and see Fort Lauderdale from a different perspective. Tour historic buildings, grab a bite, and see where we walk Gwen everyday! Follow the river/brick walkway all the way to he historic Stranahan House and you'll be at the heart of Las Olas. If you're lucky you might see a manatee or two on the way!
If you want to check out our local watering hole before the after party, definitely stop in to Fat Cats. They have a gazillion and five craft beers, amazing bartenders, some delicious food, and live music every night. Go say hi to Marcus before 10pm and order the bacon wrapped jalapeños. You won't regret it.
Go to Strike City at our favorite bowling alley! They have daily specials, GlowBowl on the weekends, old school arcade games, a jukebox, and occasional karaoke next door 🙈
Awesome park right across from the beach. There are trails to bike and walk and many species of birds and animals to spot as you enjoy the beautiful landscape.
Named one of the coolest breweries in the country. They have tours of the brewery itself, board games, corn hole, and amazingly unique beers to try.
If you have some time to head to Miami, definitely check out these murals and the art district they reside in. Some of the coolest street art and galleries around, and lots of things to see and do. Be a hipster for a day. It's fun. Don't forget your cold brew coffee.
Another one of our favorite restaurants! Try the Straciatella Salad... or if you go for brunch... the doughnut holes with cereal milk and you won't be disappointed!
Rotating art exhibits and a sweet gift shop!
Jenny's favorite place for overpriced coffee on Las Olas 😹! ... super cute coffee shop with amazing baked goods, right next door to a florist/awesome gift shop.
Go visit Chris's groomsman, Alex, at his cool clothing store on Las Olas. Trendy clothes, awesome shoes, and the best candles ever.
Tapas and libations in a relaxed, outdoor atmosphere. Order the potato cake, the cauliflower, the skirt steak, the oysters, and the scallops. Come to think of it, order everything. And close your eyes when you sign the bill 😜
